The Feasibility of a Text-Messaging Intervention Promoting Physical Activity in Shift Workers : A Process Evaluation

Workplace health promotion programs (WHPPs) can improve shift workers’ physical activity. The purpose of this paper is to present the process evaluation of a text messaging health promotion intervention for mining shift workers during a 24-day shift cycle. Data collected from intervention participants with a logbook (n = 25) throughout the intervention, exit interviews (n = 7) and online surveys (n = 17) examined the WHPP using the RE-AIM (Reach, Efficacy, Adoption, Implementation and Maintenance) framework. Background The aim of this study is to evaluate the prevalence of elongated styloid process in digital panoramic radiographs in a North Italian population in relation to age, gender and side. Material and methods This study was performed as a retrospective analysis on digital panoramic radiographs of 600 (271 males and 329 females) Italian patients between 6 and 87 years old. The styloid process length were measured using the measuring tool of Sidexis Software. It was measured from the point where it left the temporal bone plate to its tip. The Effects of Using High-Fidelity Simulation in Undergraduate Nursing Education: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial with a Process Evaluation

Abstract The overall aim of this study was to examine the effects of a high-fidelity simulation on the knowledge and self-confidence of a total of 177 undergraduate nursing students in recognizing and responding to hypovolemia. A randomized experimental pre- and post-test research design with a process evaluation was employed. A significantly larger proportion of students in the intervention group than in the control group increased the number of correct responses in their knowledge and levels of self-confidence postintervention. As enablers for the successful implementation of the intervention, a need for a safe environment, fidelity, and learning in different roles were identified.

La ‘Nueva Planificación Territorial Estratégica’ reaparecida en Europa a finales del siglo XX incorpora de manera intrínseca la necesidad de evaluación de los Planes de Ordenación Territorial. Esta evaluación no puede centrarse únicamente en evaluar el impacto de los planes, sino que debe realizarse también poniendo el foco en los procesos técnicos en los que se producen bienes materiales y la generación de conocimiento. El presente trabajo pretende aportar el marco metodológico para poder desarrollar un instrumento de evaluación de procesos de planificación y gestión de planes de ordenamiento territorial.
